Do you have rules and regulations?
Yes. Please review the Rules and Regulations available on the Forms page or at the Sandalwood Park office.
Do you provide internet services to residents?
Internet access is available in the clubhouse. Internet service for individual homes is the responsibility of each homeowner.
Are background checks required for buyers and renters?
Yes. Background checks are required for Board approval prior to purchasing or renting a home in Sandalwood Park. Financial and criminal background checks are conducted for all purchasers.
Are there limits on how many homes I can own?
Yes. Ownership is limited to one home per owner, and at least one owner must be 55 years of age or older.
How much are HOA fees, and when are they due?
HOA fees are $505.00 per quarter and are due in January, April, July, and October. Payments can be made here.
What are my voting rights as a shareholder?
Each share owner is entitled to one vote.
Do you have a reserve account established, and is it being funded?
Yes. Sandalwood Park maintains a reserve account, and it is actively funded.
When is trash and recycling pickup?
Trash, recycling, and yard waste are collected once per week on Tuesdays. During holiday weeks, pickups may be delayed a day.
Do you allow pets?
Yes. Sandalwood Park is a pet-friendly community and follows all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Up to two dogs per home are permitted, pending current veterinary records and a photo of each dog.
Up to two indoor cats per home are allowed.

How are real estate taxes handled?
Each home is individually assessed by Sarasota County. Property owners are responsible for paying their real estate taxes directly to Sarasota County.
Taxes are billed starting in November for the current year and are due by March 31 of the following calendar year.
What do HOA fees cover?
HOA fees cover general community maintenance, including grounds and common areas, mowing, roads, activity areas, and basic cable service.
